Located in Switzerland, Le Châtelard is an international educational center dedicated to the integral formation of young ladies. Le Châtelard seeks to complement and perfect our students’ previous formation by drawing from the best that European culture has to offer. The Swiss Alps and the nearby Lake Geneva provide the ideal setting and backdrop for an educational experience that offers ample opportunities for personal growth
the students by developing in them a love for authentic values and a sense of what is good, right, noble, just and beautiful
the character of the students as the foundation stone of all virtue and integrity
the students by giving them the appropriate knowledge corresponding to their grade
Le Châtelard Academy was built as an elegant hotel for the European nobility. It has conserved its Belle Époque style.
Surrounded by a beautiful park of 4 hectares, the building is in a valley, between the mountains and the lake, at an altitude of 1000 meters.
The weather in Switzerland is strongly influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. Very often, the westerly winds bring moist and mild maritime air into Switzerland.
This means that during the winter, this air has a warming effect and in the summer a cooling effect. It ensures that there is enough precipitation in most regions all year around. Therefore, the Swiss Alps act as a climate barrier between Southern and Northern Switzerland. Southern Switzerland receives indeed much milder winters than the Northern part because the Mediterranean Sea mainly influences it.
Dear Chatelard girls: A few weeks ago I had the great opportunity to spent one of the best years of my life at Chatelard Academy. I´m so grateful that God could send me one year to get closer to Him. This beautiful experience helped me to grow in my integral formation, and I learn lots of things that maybe I didn´t knew before. I had lots of great moments with my friends that soon they became my sisters. Take fruit of the gifts that Chatelard is giving you, and never forget them.
